Wall tiles have always been popular because of the huge range of styles and colours available and the fact that they have so many uses. Think of wall tiles in the home and a lot of people will instant think of the bathroom, but that isn’t the only room in your home where they can be used and will look great.
Many benefits of wall tiling
Obviously the bathroom is the most popular room in the home for wall tiles because not only do they look great but they are also impenetrable to water, meaning that they can be used in showers and on the wall between the top of your bath tub and the ceiling to provide a waterproof barrier. They can also be used as a splash-back behind wash basins as this area can often get wet and wall tiles are better for dealing with this than painted walls, even if bathroom specific paint has been used. As these three areas are usually covered with wall tiles in a lot of homes, people decorating will often tile all remaining walls in a bathroom to give continuity and also because wall tiles are so easy to clean, are hard wearing and long lasting.
Importance of waterproofing
Showers have become increasingly popular in modern homes over the past 20 to 30 years, with more and more people seeing them as a quick and convenient alternative to a bath. A lot of homes now have a shower that is combined with the bath tub as this is cheaper than having a separate shower cubicle installed. It is also a space saver in a room which is normally the smallest room in the house. If you have a shower in your bathroom then it is essential that you completely waterproof the area that will be in contact with water. Failing to do this can have disastrous consequences. Flooding into downstairs rooms is common in homes where bathrooms haven’t been properly insulated and leaks can also affect wooden joists causing them to rot and making the structure of your home unsafe. Ceramic wall tiles combined with waterproof grout and waterproof sealant specifically made for baths and showers is the most cost effective way of making this area completely waterproof.

Over the past month, Winnipegreal estate agents have sold 51 houses which were priced over $500K. That is down from the 79 in June, and 85 in May, and also lower than 2018.

Due to the huge inventory increase, Winnipeg’s ass=”textannotation disambiguated wl-thing” itemid=”http://data.wordlift.io/wl01744/entity/luxury_market”>luxury market inventory sits at 249 days, which is a large jump from last month, and also higher than the same time last year. Homes in lower price ranges, such as $250-$500K, are at 43 days on average, so yes, luxury homes are a much slower market.

Over the past month, Winnipeg real estate agents have sold 85 houses which were priced over $500K. That is nearly double the sales of April and also represents the highest number of sales in over a year.

Due to the huge inventory increase, Winnipegs luxury market inventory sits at 146 days, which is faster than the previous month, but slower than last year at this time (128 days). Homes in lower price ranges, such as $250-$500K, are at 43 days on average, so yes, luxury homes are a much slower market.

Currently, there are 371 Luxury Houses listed in Winnipeg. Thats up from the 349 the previous month, and a huge increase over the same time last year. (257)

Over the past month, Winnipegreal estate agents have sold 52 houses which were priced over $500K. Thats slightly less than in August, but more than last year as well.

Over the past month, Winnipegreal estate agents have sold 50 houses which were priced over $500K. While thats an increase over the previous month, it is still slower than sales in April 2017. So we have MORE homes available in this range, but fewer sales….definitely a buyers market.

Over the past month, Winnipegreal estate agents have sold just 29 homes in this price range, between $500k and all the way up to a 2 million dollar home in Headingley.

With relatively few homes to chose from (202) and a good sales pace of 29 homes sold last month, it was still a good time to sell in November. That night change, as you can see from the numbers of this past Janfuary.

Over the past month, Winnipegreal estate agents have sold 65 homes in this price range, between $500k and all the way up to a 1.375 million dollar home in River Heights. This is more than double the number of luxury homes sold in March, and equal to the high sales mark set last June.

Don’t expect these number to last beyond another month or so, although the luxury home market will surely remain a strong buyers market in Winnipeg.
