One of my clients, who had just taken possession of his first-ever home, recently called me as he had a few questions about the home.  As we walked thru the house, I found that he had many basic questions.

It also started to occur to me that many first-time home owners might have similar questions, ranging from leaking basements to leaky roofs and everything in between.  As a novice home owner, you have three options:  Let things go to seed  (never a good idea),  hire a professional to fix things  (expensive) or learn to do-it-yourself.

I realize that you can google, or check youtube for just about anything these days, but I'm ‘old-school', and still like to have a written manual in front of me.  So I found this book at Amazon.com that might be a helpful addition to the First-Time Home-Owners toolkit.
