A luxury house is more than a big property with a fully-stocked kitchen. It embodies a way of living. If you’re looking to buy a new home, you probably want more than just a nice-sized closet and a decent guest room.
Here are a few of the features that you should look for when making a purchase:
Pools and outdoor amenities
The outdoor living space is just as important as the indoor space. This is something you shouldn’t compromise on. Outdoor amenities play an essential role in offering a quality standard of living. You want to be able to enjoy your home to its fullest and that means taking advantage of the property’s outdoor space.
A luxury house should have a place for you to sit and relax, a place where you can cook outside, play with your kids or entertain your guests. Of course, all buyers have their own interests that lead to different sets of priorities. Some would much rather have a big basketball court instead of a pool.
Think about how you would want to use your outdoor space, set your priorities and look for amenities that will allow you to do the things you love.
Green space
A home should be more than just a place where you sleep after work. It should be where you feel the most comfortable. Your home should be your oasis, your little piece of paradise. That is why landscaping needs to be a priority when shopping for a new house.
A nice, green lawn is great, but having your own private garden is even better. Green space is definitely something you should look for when searching for a luxury house.
Unique architecture
Here on the Winnipeg market, there are plenty of beautiful homes with great architecture. Those are the kind of houses that people stop to look at. However, elaborate design elements don’t just serve to please the eye. Good architecture adds and preserves value.
In addition to that, you should know that a house that has beautiful architecture and a practical design is more likely to have a strong resale value. And that’s an aspect you shouldn’t overlook when searching for your dream house.Security is a must when looking for a luxury house
A luxury house is more about fulfilling wishes than meeting needs. Still, one of the key features all home buyers should look for is security.
Surveillance and overall security systems have significantly improved in recent years. The more modern the security features, the better. Still, they also have to be discreet so that you don’t feel like you are living in a bunker.
Absolute privacy
With neighbourhoods getting more and more crowded, privacy has become an issue. But it’s a problem you shouldn’t have to deal with, especially when there is a considerable financial obligation on your part.
You need to be able to relax in your home and wind down without having to worry about your neighbors peeking in. That’s why I recommend looking for a property that keeps prying eyes out, be it with a tall fence or through smart landscaping.
Do you want all that and more?
You deserve it.

I can say that it is nice having these items in your home. We bought a house and made sure we put in most of these things except an in ground pool. We have an above ground one, but anyway, it is still nice. I think that you should buy a home that is within your budget then add your luxury items.

Beautiful yard with lots of greenery … Definitely one of the best things in the house for a healthy life

If I were rich, I would engage an interior designer to overhaul the whole house including the exterior, gardens, landscapes and such. Alas, I am confined to my small apartment and can only dream big.

Man, if I was rich enough I’d dabble on architecture and true my focus would be on greening it and how private it would be. It would be a little both of both- architecture and a green space- meaning it would be an eco-friendly house.

Beautiful homes. If I ever end up in a situation where I could afford such a place, Privacy and Green-spaces would be most important to me. Who wants a multi million dollar home when you have neighbors breathing down your neck?

It is indeed a good review about luxury house which will be useful to those who are looking for purchasing a new house but I think security and greenery should be of paramount importance when purchasing a house. Let it be luxury or an ordinary house!

This Winnipeg house sounds great. I would love to move there, how about solar power? It would be even more great with that!

The weather is an important factor, too if you are going to enjoy the amenities of a luxury house. Unfortunately, the Northern Hemisphere has only a few months of the year where you can relax in your garden. I would say having a sauna/hammam facilities and an orangery will be some of the features I will be looking for in an upscale house.

The Winnipeg market looks great. Thiese are some good points to look for in a luxury home.
