Getting around the city by car is straightforward from Southland Park, as well: Fermor Avenue and Bishop Grandin provide direct access depending on where you’re heading. And downtown Winnipeg is less than a 20-minute drive from your door!
Shopping and entertainment
Both St. Vital Mall and the Southdale Shopping Centre (not far from the local community centre) are within 10 or 12 minutes of Southland Park. Amenities are plentiful in these sister neighbourhoods for everything from groceries to restaurants to movie theatres to clothing stores to bookstores and more.
Golf aficionados will enjoy the golf courses and country clubs just past Southdale at Niakwa Park. Head the other direction down Fermor Avenue to take the kids to Tinkertown or Fun Mountain for that thrilling amusement park experience, almost right in your own backyard!
