How to prepare for your first house or condo purchase
Here is a short video from REMAX to help the first-time home buyer (house or condo) get ready for the biggest purchase they will make in some time. Although this is a U.S. video, the principles are the same. Just replace ‘FHA’ with “CMHA” and disregard the 3.5% down payment (Canadians in most cases need 5%….although there ARE exceptions)
Right now, (fall of 2013) Winnipeg has more homes (1350++ houses and over 400 Condos) on the market than at any other time during the year. My advice to anyone looking to purchase their first home is “Don’t wait til spring 2014”.

A message from my Mortgage Broker
October Newsletter Almost half of homeowners sleepwalk through their mortgage renewal Given the large financial commitment of a mortgage, it’s surprising that 44 per cent of Canadian homeowners either just accept whatever their lender offers at renewal, or don’t even remember how they renewed! It’s tempting to just sleepwalk through the mortgage renewal process.
