The Manitoba Government has started a plan to eliminate school taxes from the property bills of ‘senior' (65 and over) property owners in Manitoba.  For the full details, go to the website at Manitoba Finance, but the highlights are this:

• You OR your spouse (or common-law partner) must be 65 yrs of age by December 2014
• You or your spouse (partner) must own the property on the tax due-date
• It must be your principal residence
